:flame:Welcome to the Jesus Freaks club! We're on fire for Jesus! :flame:

This is a club for all those who are undeniably, uncontrollably passionate for Jesus. If you are a Jesus Freak we welcome you! Even if you are not a Jesus Freak we welcome you!
Our goal is to infect DeviantART with the Holy Spirit and to witness boldly through art and love. This club is not here to push or bash anyone into anything. We are here to love. To spread the good news to all that will be open and listen.


News 01/14/08
Guys I am sooooooooooooo sorry about not being around!!! I've been so busy and I hadn't been on deviantart too much until recently.
I know this club isn't much but I think it could be.
Soooo I am asking for help.
If anyone would be willing to be a volunteer please note me at my main account :iconlittle-shinikami:. It's mostly just to update the prayer requests and do deviations and update the members list.
I've also not been a very good Christian lately. =( I feel like I shouldn't be completely in charge of this. So any help would be awesome.
If more than one person notes me I will have to choose. So I will be talking to the "candidates" through notes for a little to see who would be best.
I will still be here and will try to check in more. But for now I just need some help.
Thank you guys for being understanding and sorry we were dead for so long.

How to Join Jesus Freaks
Send a note (not a comment) to the club with the title "Join" and tell me why you would like to join. I would also be greatful to know whether you are a Christian or not. As this is a Christian club.

How to become an Affiliate
If you have a club and would like to affiliate with us please note the club and title it "Affiliates".

If you are not a Christian or don't want to join you can become a supporter. Simply note the club with the title "supporter" and we will add you.

If a non-member bashes anyone please do not respond in kind! Respond lovingly! If you are a non-member bashing someone please note you will only be responded with love.

not only was that the most ignorant bit of drivel I've had the misfortune of reading, it was the complete opposite of anything Christianity teaches. Jesus would have been prasing the GLBTs and other marginalized people if he were physically alive today, just as he reached out to the Samaratins--and changed their legacy from one of oppression and abuse to one of kindness (The Good Samaratin).

Do you think it is a wise thing to advertise such a hateful journal on every Christian place on DA you can think of? (especially since, in this own club's journal, it says "NO BASHING" - I don't think linking to something that essentially does that rule would escape that, even if it's not in the most vulgar manner). It is that sort of hateful attitude that Christians are discriminated against and hated for, and I can't believe this hasn't been hidden. Do you really think people appreciate this sort of attitude on the front page of their club?

I read your journal and was not particularly inspired nor impressed by it (though reading through your journal I was relieved to see other Christians asking you to stop the hate train). It seems mostly to work only for people who believe exactly the same way as you do. And then, when the offended comments grew too much to handle, you said, "Sorry, too busy to reply!"?

Since you decided to take that way out of the situation you started, I recommend asking the club owners to hide your comment, because leaving it there won't do you any good. These links are still leading people to it.

    Allow me to disprove the hypothesis of, first of all, an omnipotent God with a little paradox:
    Could God create a stone that he himself could not lift?
    If he can not, then God obviously does have limited power.
    If he can, though, then there is now a stone that he cannot lift, and since he cannot lift it, he is not omnipotent.

    The bible also says that God is both transcendent and omnipresent, which is clearly a contradiction of terms and therefore cannot be true.
    To be transcendent means to be outside of space and time, while omnipresent dictates the act of being everywhere in space and time at once.

    When Galileo discovered the Heliocentric model of the solar system, a heretical concept, he was imprisoned in his own home for the rest of his life simply because the church was hungry for

    power and did not wish to be questioned. Record shows that soon after his model finally was accepted universally, parts of the bible were actually re-written to conform to the new

    knowledge to seem as though the bible knew it all along. If it was changed for this, surely it was changed on many other instances and cannot possibly be a true text of the supposed God.

    Another example...
    There is no perfect God.
    If a being is perfect, everything it creates must, as well, be perfect.
    If there is a perfect God, he cannot have created humanity, because we are not perfect.
    If God did create humanity, however, God must, too, be flawed to have made so many mistakes.

    And if you religious folk would stop being so ignorant and just opened your eyes, you'd see how ludicris some of your bible's stories are... God talking to a carpenter, as a burning bush? It's

    madness. And the reason all of you tend to be so bloody ignorant is the fact that you're forced to go to church and read the bible from childhood and you're taught to

    disregard anything, INCLUDING HARD SCIENTIFIC DATA, that questions the church. You're conditioned to believe nothing but what the bible dictates.

    And on that note, you people don't even read the bible correctly! The stories in it were not, by any means, meant to be taken literally as truth! They are hypotheticals and

    anecdotes; little childrens stories for all ages, complete with a moral, which is supposed to be the important part. You're not supposed to take it word for word, you're

    supposed to use the intelligence that God supposedly gave you and use it to make your own inferences on the stories and pick out life lessons.

    So, two last things before I hit send:
    1. If you hide this comment, you're proving to the whole world that you're ignorant and that you're deliberately trying to hide any opposing thought patterns. And there's

      only one reason for somebody to do that: Knowing that the opposing thought, herecy though it may be, is true and you're silencing it before your followers realize that it's true; same thing the

      church did with Galileo.
    2. If there's any questions you have that God provisionally answers, ask me and I'll give you a scientific answer, one which will probably make far more sense if you

      let it into your thick skull.

    first of all,
    i don't push myself to be religious because i believe that god is happy with me being me. in other words, asking for help when i need it and apologizing when i've done something i feel bad about. (i DON'T go to confession or anything.)
    and sometimes, i just ask god to watch over some people that i love(including my crush XP)
    i think that he's totally okay with how i express my religious beliefs.

    second of all,

    karma??? witchcraft??? HAHAHA. good one.

    no. my karma is basically like your golden rule. like....everything i do has an effect on me and somebody else. i mean..karma's different for everybody. that's just how i explain it.
    like...if i think something mean about somebody, someone's probably going to think-or SAY- something mean about me.or, you know,l something bad's going to happen.

    so, the solution i've come up with to ditch that bad habit (thinking bad things about people) IS......
    everytime i start to think something mean, i just start going like LALALALALALALALALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    in my mind.
